Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter, born on July 23rd, 1970 was an American actor. Cordelia Chase played the role of Cordelia in Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural series (1997-1999) as well as its spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She also starred in Charmed (2004) and Kendall Casablanca's character in Veronica Mars (2006). Rebecca Sewell was in The Lying Game (2012)-2013. Lacy was the main character in The Expendables film franchise (2010)-2012. Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada,[disputed - discuss] daughter of Christine, a bird sanctuary worker as well as Don Carpenter, a salesman. She is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French, and German descent. Carpenter attended Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. She was involved in a dance and dance troupe that was a part of the Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter relocated with her family to Rosario Beach in Baja California, Mexico, at age 15 years old. She attended Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter went on a trip across Europe following her graduation. She returned to San Diego and worked in the video store, as an aerobics instructor, property manager and as a clerk. She was a cheerleader for San Diego Chargers football in 1991. In 1992, she relocated to Los Angeles. She was swimming in San Diego with two male friends at the time that Henry Hubbard Jr., an ex-police officer from San Diego and serial rapist, attacked the group. The two of them, Henry Hubbard Jr. and her companions were shot during the battle. Both of them survived. Hubbard was arrested, convicted and sentenced to 56 years of prison for a string of robberies and rapes. Carpenter removed Hubbard's flashlight which was a police-issue flashlight, away from the shore. The flashlight was an important piece of evidence used against Hubbard.
