Sarah Hyland
Sarah Hyland was born in New York City to actors Melissa D. Canaday and Edward James Hyland. She started her career in the industry at the age of four with commercial work and voice overs. Her first film was Private Parts (1997). The Object of My Affection (1998) was followed by Another World (1964) where she played "Rain Wolfe" as a child who was found in a park, who was looked after and loved by Josie. Sarah would go on to work with Amy Carlson ("Josie") many times: Falcone (2000) and Law & Order (1990) as well as Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005). Sarah was cast for the role of "Audrey Hepburn" in Jennifer Love Hewitt's The Audrey Hepburn Story (2001). The following year, she also chosen to play "Molly" in ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney: Annie (1999). It starred Kathy Bates, Audra Mcdonald, Victor Garber, Kristin Chenoweth, and Joe Gould's Secret (2000), and Falcone (2000). Apart from her film and television work, Sarah studied voice, hip-hop, ballet, jazz, tap, Theatre Dance, and performed with her tap and Theatre dance class at "Reel to Real" at Lincoln Center as invited performers.A New York-born and raised girl, Sarah spent much of her time in film, television, and voice-overs for radio commercials in addition to traveling with her father, Edward James Hyland, when he was employed at many different theaters across the country. Her homeschooling was provided by her mother from 2nd grade. She then attended Public School. She was accepted in the 6th year to PPAS (Professional Performing Arts School), where she remained until 2008 when she graduated. Sarah who was 18, moved to Los Angeles, CA, after which she became an aircraft pilot named "My American Family". After she was accepted and the name was changed into Modern Family (2009). Sarah currently portrays Haley Dunphy, the oldest Dunphy child. Modern Family (2009) was nominated for an Emmy award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
