Rachel Emily Nichols

Rachel Emily Nichols was born in Augusta, Maine, the daughter of Alison and James Nichols, a schoolteacher. She is of French Canadian and English descent. She attended and graduated from Cony High School in Augusta when she participated in the high jump. She was a student at Columbia University in New York City in which she graduated with a double major in economics and math. She began modeling, launching an impressive career working with a number of prestigious companies, including Guess?, Abercrombie & Fitch and L'Oreal. Rachel made the transition to acting after being offered a role in the HBO comedy Sex and the City (1998). In the prequel Dumb and Dumberer, When Harry Met Lloyd (2003), she made her film debut playing Jessica Matthews. The film's success was further enhanced by roles in such projects as The Amityville Horror (2005), The Inside (2005), Alias (2001), G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2008), Criminal Minds (2006) (a frequent role as the FBI Agent Ashley Seaver role) and Conan the Barbarian (2011). She played the role of the lead of police officer Kiera Cameron on the science fiction drama Continuum (2012).Attended and graduated from Columbia University with a double major in math and economics. She was a model for Guess? and Abercrombie & Fitch as well as L'Oreal, Nicole Miller, and L'Oreal. Her first audition was for a hostess in a restaurant in Sex and the City (1998). Both Nichols, along with her Star Trek (2009) star Zoe Saldana, went on to work for Stephen Lang. Saldana was along with Lang in Avatar (2009); Nichols along with Lang in Conan the Barbarian (2011). On December 30, 2013, she became engaged to real developer of real estate Michael Kershaw. She is naturally blonde.
